Have You Heard About Fools Rush In?

Reviewed by Tracy Ruckman

Fools Rush In by Janice Thompson is one of my favorite reads so far this year. Just a word of caution - be ready to eat some Italian food while you're reading (or at least after you finish.) This is one of those books I couldn't put down - the characters are real, memorable, and even some quirky ones are thrown in for good measure. The heroine is likeable and hero is adorable, but the family competes for your attention, too.

As a reader, I appreciated (and as a writer, I noticed) the sensory details used liberally throughout the book. The scents and tastes of Italian food, and the sounds from songs playing in the various scenes helped pull me into the story, and made me wish I lived nearby so I could experience the same events.

As a romance of course, we get the happily-ever-after, but there are plenty of surprises thrown in (including one subplot I never saw coming!), and plenty of tension between several of the charcters so it will keep you turning the pages, anxious to see what happens next.
If you enjoy contemporary romances, be sure to read Fools Rush In.

About the book:

Ever wonder how Italian sounds with a Southern drawl?

Bella Rossi's life is just starting to get interesting. When her Italian-turned-Texan parents hand over the family wedding-planning business, Bella quickly books a Boot-Scootin' wedding that would make any Texan proud. There's only one catch--she doesn't know a thing about country music. Where will she find a deejay on such short notice who knows his Alan Jackson from his George Strait? And will Bella ever get to plan her own wedding?

Fun, fresh, and full of surprises, this flavorful combination of Italian and Tex-Mex highlights the hilarity that ensues when cultures clash.
