DAWN OF A COBWEB

Silken threads bound to roughened bark
Thinly delicate
Crowned with golden rays of dawn
Crystalline,
Translucent dew drops
Pearls on a strand
Jewels that gleam and shimmer
The artist, content, fulfilled
scurries to rest
